Soft Starters
Overview
Our Soft Starters have been providing precise controlled AC
motor starting and stopping for decades. We pioneered this motor
control technology to limit the current to a motor on both
acceleration and deceleration to provide a longer life to both
motor and machinery.
Control Techniques offers a complete range of low voltage AC
motor soft starters such as our pre-engineered crusher duty
IMS2-4-1 & EMX3-4-1 soft starter packages suitable for both
normal and heavy duty applications, plus packaged models such as
our “Crusher-Duty” soft starters. Our soft starters feature a
universal voltage input which can accommodate 200-600VAC,
200-400VAC and 380-690VAC 3-phase input supply. Modbus, Profibus,
DeviceNet and RS485 options are available.

EMX3 - Full Featured Soft

IMS2 - Flexible Soft

The IMS2 series offers a total motor starting solution for higher
horsepower range. This digital soft starter combines a high level
of functionality with flexibility and ease of use.
CSX/CSXi - Compact Soft
Starter
5 hp - 150 hp (18 to 200Amps)
208-480 Volts

The smallest and easiest to use CSX/CSXi series sets up with simple
pot adjustments. It has one of the smallest foot prints available
that includes a built-in bypass contactor, resulting in significant
space savings.
DY5 - Electronic Motor
Brake

The DY5 is an electronic AC motor brake that can be applied to most
starters. Installation is simple and fast. Use the DY5 Soft Starter
Advantages to stop AC motors safely and quickly.
